Chillin' on a Sunday afternoon

And the typhoon's coming!

Typhoon's a-comin'

Right now it's sunny, but I still have my rain boots on today. No umbrella, but I packed a poncho.

What shall my fate be?

Brilliantly stupid/ Stupidly brilliant idea

A few of you might guess what I'm up to from the picture.

I got the idea in the bus to Tokyo.

I bought the notebook today and decorated it in the train. Over the next month, I will write out lyrics from various TOKIO songs and translate them with much artistic license.

Then when November rolls around, I'm doing NaNoWriMo and will write a story incorporating themes, images and translated lyrics from the songs plus TOKIO stories.

It's going to be so much fun. I promise I won't bombard the blog too much.

Off to grandmother's house I go

Just to spend the night and some of tomorrow. Then tomorrow night! The 74th Hunger Games with Samantha. :)

Then lunch on Sunday with friends leading into pre-party drinks leading into a farewell party which may lead into karaoke. And I might actually join in because I took Monday morning off. Whee!

Also gotta see if I can squeeze in some time while I'm in Hama to see Hiro and get a trim.

1718: Days later

I still feel it.

The muscle pain's gone, but listening to the music, I can still feel the air in the Budokan. I can see their faces, what this tour meant to them.

I still smile and bite my lip when I think about it. No wonder I'm single. I set my standards way too high. I give so much of my love to TOKIO, and it's so easy to do unconditionally, because they do it too. The love between 5 guys and hundreds of thousands of fans. Invincible.

FOOD!!

House Party tonight.

Made gyoza. As usual. But two types. Yay.

Cooking day

Made eggplant mushroom pasta. First with just olive oil then added some tomato sauce I made a while ago.

It was yummers.

Then spent a few hours prepping gyoza. Tonight's a house party and I've been just itching to cook for a while.

Gorgeous day

I was going to keep sleeping, but I don't think I can nor should pass up taking a walk in this perfect weather.

Now the question is: where should I go?

1718: Showered and watching ZIP!

Just caught the bit about the 0921 live.

Tatsuya's looking tired, but who can blame him.
I almost feel bad about taking today off. Almost.

Heading to bed once ZIP's over.

1718: Back in Nagoya

On any other Monday, I would be waiting for my train back at my station at this time, but today, I'm on my way back to my station.

I think I'll be arriving around the same time I left yesterday.

24 hours. And more than half of it spent in transit. But so damn worth it for those 2+ precious hours with TOKIO.

1718: The Aftermath

Wow. Where do I start?

I'm just going to bullet point this.

- I'm really glad I went to this concert. Couldn't be more satisfied.

- My seat was indeed the 11th row. And closer to the middle than I expected.

- I'm sure the people around me hate me, but with seats like that, it would be a crime to not to bounce around.

- And I will pay for this tomorrow. My body is already aching. I'm just glad I'm dry now. So much sweat.

- The show was just flat out awesome. The guys were totally into it.

- It's definitely different when the guys are on screens with lyrics all the time. I think I prefer Nagoya's no-screen style.

- But the speakers were definitely better in the Budokan, as is to be expected.

- Taichi's antics during NaNaNa had apparently been escalating since Nagoya. Tonight was the climactic "Romeo and Juliet" version. He started off by standing on his stool and blowing kisses at Nagase. This progressed until near the end of the song when Taichi got out from behind his keyboards, walked over to Nagase and leaned in. Their faces grew closer until their lips met. The cameraman zoomed in. It was on the big screen. Close enough to see clearly that there was also tongue. Nagase's to be precise. Taichi walked back to his keyboards like maybe that wasn't the greatest idea in the world.

- Did I mention this was being broadcast live to movie theaters across the country?

- Moving along, Believe made me cry again but it might have been the lyrics this time. Then followed by Autumn. You know when lyrics overlap with memories and you get flooded with emotion? Yeah...

- It was cool to see the footage from the other venues. I'm somewhere in the Nagoya shot, but I was too focused on bouncing around to the song. *crossing fingers for a DVD*

- The Course of Life made me cry as well. I just love the image of that song.

- We not only got Joshima Song, but Jumbo. So awesome.

- Taichi had two TAHICHI bottles. I'm really hoping he caught a glimpse of mine even though the pattern completely wore off in Boston due to daily use.

- The overall flow was great. There was a lovely cool down section after the MC filled with ballads.

- The "kankeisha" seats, where people in the business sit, were encouraged/pressured into standing part of the time by the guys and the audience. And they did stand. It was awesome.

- When introducing 「自由な名の下に」at the end, Nagase got a bit teary-eyed talking about these 18 years. Tatsuya too. TOKIO's been through a lot. But they also acknowledged that so have the fans. Nagase said, "During this song, please think about the past 18 years and if you could, the time, regardless of length, that you've spent with us". *cue tears again*

And I think I'll stop there.

Being a TOKIO fan is a journey. One with no goal or clear purpose or even direction. Just follow them. TOKIO will be true to TOKIO and that's all we need.

Okies, battery going to die soon and I want to get some sleep on the bus. Will write more later if it comes to me. Though tomorrow I suspect I'll just be re-living the concert in my dreams.

1718: And I'm in.

The staff are watching like hawks, so no pics. I'm also not going to post a pic on a public blog when it's pretty easy to track me down. ;)

Let me just say, this is going to be AWESOME.

1718: Budokan in the rain.

It's not pouring, but it's getting there.

I get to go in through the front door! Yay.

And I'm loving how many guys are here. Not boyfriends or husbands (though there are a good number of those too), but guys. Groups of guys. Guys with the blue envelope. That means fanclub. Dude.

Anyways, in line to get in.

1718: Shinjuku!

Finally remembered the underground pathway to Shinjuku station. And it's damn crowded!

Tokyo will always be in my "Nice place to visit" category. More on this another time.

Now on the subway to Kudanshita. Then gotta find Exit 2.

1718: Break time

Stops every 2hr at Makinohara and Ebina. Just right for a bathroom break, leg streach and for me, restocking of drinks.

And buying delicious matcha ice cream. Yum.

1718: @ Nagoya Station

After a guilty pleasure breakfast at McD's, I wandered around, made a few discoveries, checked in for my bus, re-lived my nasty fall on the way to the WCBF bus to the Kumano, carefully walked to the bus, and now am sitting comfortably in row one with possibly noone next to me. Score!!

1718: To Tokyo!

I know it may sound strange, but I'm not listening to 『17』 right now. Just 「sugar」 on repeat. Because I'm on my way to see them. Thinking only of them.

I can't stop smiling and every few minutes, I almost cry.

Yeah, silly fangirl right here and proud of it.

In 12 hours, I'm going to be on a bus

To Tokyo.

To see TOKIO.

On their home turf: the Nippon Budokan.

And it is seriously going to be beyond awesome.

Rain

I got my rainboots on. Probably going to be meaningless in a bit, but I like the guarantee of dry socks.

Two days!

Then,

TOKIO!!!!!

1718: Nagoya Live - Part 2 (the MC)

So the started off with the other members demanding (not really) an explanation from Taichi for his antics on the stool. Yamaguchi explained this as the perfect timing of the Nagoya concert and the fact that it was the third concert in a string of three different venues and Taichi was building up pent up energy. So he had to let it out somewhere. And this time he decided that meant posing in different ways on top of a stool.

1718: Nagoya Live-Part I

I'm writing this from my grandmother's computer...it's been a while since I've written on a Japanese keyboard and it's kinda annoying, but if I don't write this now, I don't really have a chance to write it until after the Budokan live and then the two lives might mix together and I want the Nagoya live to be the Nagoya live.

Because I'm at my grandmother's, I can't put up the pictures as I had originally planned. Maybe as another post full of memories of the tour and stuff. Anyways, onto the Nagoya live.

I skip all the stuff up to the concert, since I already posted that in real time.

1718: Look who's got an arena seat!

And then I look it up the possible seat.

Dude.

DUDE!!

Just a few more days.

Off to grandmother's house

I found out that there are much more people who ride the Shink at night. The :28 Kodama that starts in Nagoya still isn't crowded, but I made my way back to car 2 for an extra non-crowded car.

After making it to my transfer station, I had time, so I got some things then got myself some ramen for dinner. After taking this pic, I added two scoops of ground garlic. Yum!

And now everyone on my next train is gonna hate me. Yay!

Going to work on a Wednesday?

It's always unfortunate when cert workshops happen on my days off. Especially when they run from 10 to 7.

7pm!

Bah!

Heading to my grandmother's afterwards to hang out, have a Skype date with my parents, and pick up MY TOKIO BUDOKAN TICKET! SUNDAY!! AWESOME!!

But first, to survive cert.

Brunch and contemplating what to do with today

What the title says.

Two more

And then I am free for the day!

I think I'll sleep.

Or...

Nah, sleep.

Maybe Loft or my favorite stationery store.

But probably sleep.

A silent Observer

(Fringe is coming back soon so I'm a bit sensitive to the word "observer")

This was a gift from Osaka. Rather than put him away, I decided he would watch over our lesson. Which was cause for much laughter. And being slightly creeped out.

I don't think my other clients today would appreciate the humor, so I hid him.

Still, if not more, creepy.
